Newington Village Festival
The village’s annual festival, which is being held on Saturday, July 7 on the school field from noon until 6pm, is now one of the largest events of its kind in Swale.
This year’s family-friendly community event will include: live bands, the annual tug-of-war, Kent School of Dance; Rainham Rangerettes, a children’s magician, birds of prey, classic cars and motorbikes, Voices from Victorian London, fairground, sideshows, craft and market stalls, community groups, real ales, BBQ, ices, tea tent and cakes, plus much more.
The concert features bands Marylebone Jelly, Stoned, Marvellous Mo and the Back Line Ferrets, and 2Che. It’ll be compered by Sfm’s Ollie Field.
Newington Festival is organised by the Parish Council. Pay at the gate: Adults £2, children free. No dogs – sorry!
